Dainichiseika Invests in Flexo Technology from KBA

The EVO XD is to be used to test new water-based inks, specifically for printing on plastic films.

To advance the development of new inks for flexible packaging, Dainichiseika Color & Chemicals Mfg. Co., Ltd. recently invested in the EVO XD, a flexo press system from KBA-Flexotecnica, a subsidiary of Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA). The EVO XD is set for commissioning at the production facility in Tokyo by September 2017. The EVO XD is to be used to test new water-based inks, specifically for printing on plastic films.

“With the EVO XD, we have found exactly the press we were looking for. The technology and quality of the press meet all our high demands,” said Naoki Tanimoto, technical division manager for Dainichiseika.
